Band Members...

Here is the list of all the fine players that work regularly with “The Indelible Shameless Blues”. We won’t need all of them at every show, but you’ll find every show has all it needs. We are great believers in “the show must go on” so we have a flexible lineup of regular players to ensure ISB is available to put on the great shows that have been our trademark for years.

“Gardog” Blair Gardiner– Lead Vocals and Blues Harp

Dave Colter—Drums

A newcomer to the Ottawa Valley, David has been a mainstay in the Canadian music scene for 35 years. An alumnus of Toronto's Humber College music program, David has played with Grammy winners Bo Diddley and Pinetop Perkins, Juno winner Jack De Keyzer (toured for 3 years and recorded the Juno-nominated CD "Blues Thing"), Jerome Godboo, Tony "Wild T" Springer, King Biscuit Boy, Carlos Del Junco and many others. He now lives near Perth, Ontario and plays regularly  with “The Indelible Shameless Blues”.

Originally from Halifax Nova Scotia, Blair ,(Gardog) has been on the Ottawa scene for about 20 years. With his great appreciation and respect for his audience, big vocal style and a few great harp licks you’ll feel like you are part of the ISB inner circle. He has fronted such bands as The Old No.7 Band, Whoopass Boogie Band and Done Deal. Gardog’s place is under the lights. The passion he brings to each performance is his trademark, to use an old east coast saying it's all about "havin a time". And "have a time" you will with Gardog at the mic.

Grant Tomkinson– Bass Guitar and Vocals

A real pro, Grant has a barely contained energy that comes through in the solid rhythm and vocals he delivers with each performance. He’s also keeps busy with The Mick Armitage Band, The Rockerfella’s and Mumbo Jumbo Voodoo Combo.

Peter “Lefty” Noel- Lead Guitar and Vocals

Pete 'Lefty' Noel has been playing the blues for 40 years, with occasional breaks for food and water. Originally from Halifax NS, he played all over the Maritimes in many different bands for about 20 years. He lived in the musical hotbed of Athens GA for 5 years, close to the source, having the opportunity to hang out in, and soak up the vibes of,  places like  Macon (home of the Allman Bros, Otis Redding, James Brown) and Statesboro GA, (memorialized by Blind Willie McTell), Natches and Tupelo MS, (both important if you're a real Elvis fan) New Orleans, Nashville, Memphis and on and on. While there he played in several bands and did session work. Pete has spent the last fifteen years here in Ottawa, and has found a  blues home for the last five with Gardog and “The Indelible Shameless Blues”.

Tom Martel– Drums and Vocals

With Tom’s animated laid back style I’ve yet to see a  guy  provide a better floor for a band to dance on. Beside Shameless Blues, Tom has played with such greats as Jack De Keyser and keeps busy with various projects including “Grievous Angels”.

Peter Brown– Keyboards and Vocals

What can we say about Peter, he’s an icon around these parts. This accomplished musician has played with everyone from Canadian blues legend Dutch Mason to Mick Taylor of “Stones” fame and has entertained the Ottawa Valley for years solo and with Mumbo Jumbo Voodoo Combo among the many other “productions” he’s involved with.

Ron LaFramboise– Bass and Vocals

As a family tradition Ron began music studies in 1967 and since then has been involved with the music industry in Canada and around the globe  as a sideman,  session player, producer/ arranger, and photographer.

He has been a bassist for former “Stones” guitarist  “Mick Taylor”, Texas Bluesman “Sonny Rhodes”, Canadian Idol judge “Zack Werner”, jazz crooner Jerry Douglas (aka John Abbott of the Young & Restless), and with “Steve Chez” guitarist of Koko Taylor fame.
Studio work in Ottawa, Toronto, Barrie Kitchener and Sudbury from Jingles, to demo’s, to full CD’s and has been in numerous broadcasts including Canada AM, Breakfast Television, and CMT. Ron has produced/arranged and been a session player in the UK, Germany, Holland, Netherlands and earned a contract in Nashville with Capitol Management.

And now has joined “Gardog” and “The Indelible Shameless Blues”
